Butter Dishes
Add a touch of elegance and sophistication to your kitchen with this handmade butter dish. It’s ideal for storing your butter at room temperature or impress your guests after dinner with a small selection of cheeses. It’s just the right size for half a pound of butter and ready for spreading on your toast at breakfast time.
Inspired by the lines in the agricultural landscape, my Fields collection of functional pots is a contemporary take on the traditional and classical blue-and-white colour combination (you just can’t beat it).
Designed as set collection set or as a mix and match group, you can choose all the same style or mix it up with an assortment of deeper blue and white lines.
Each piece is thrown on the potter’s wheel from white stoneware clay and decorated with slip coloured with natural oxides. The contemporary pattern is created using tradition techniques – sgraffito and brushwork. I intentionally decorate each piece differently, embracing the characteristics of handmade objects, to create one-off pieces; know that you will have and use the only piece that looks exactly like this one.
The pieces are fired to 1240’C in an electric kiln
Approx size of dome and plate: 8cm H x 20cm W, Dome 14cm W
The piecs are dishwasher proof but with all handmade pieces, they are better washed by hand.
Oven and microwave proof
